We seek to appoint an exceptional manager to this exciting new post.
You will lead our established Community Specialist Teams comprising of 3 distinct services for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, have learning disabilities. The teams are dynamic and totally committed to individuals achieving independence and inclusion in their communities. The range of services include:- teaching (sign language, lip speaking); individual and family support; awareness raising initiatives. Some of the work takes place in pastoral setting in schools and parishes, including sacramental preparation.
You will also line manage the managers of two other community teams providing a range of community services including volunteer support to homeless persons, older people, vulnerable isolated persons; persons with a learning disability and others. This position presents outstanding opportunity to combine the priorities and strengths of the teams for the continued advancement of each.
We require that you hold a relevant social care qualification (Dipsw, CQsw, CSS, NVQ 4 or equivalent and a recognised Management qualification i.e. NVQ 4/5. If only one of these is held, there is a requirement to undertake and successfully complete NVQ 4 in Leadership and Management in Care within the probationary period. You must have relevant management experience in some or all of the areas of the community specialist team.

This is a challenging role reporting directly to the Director of Business Support where you will have responsibility for central purchasing for Head Office and the many establishments / services we operate across the North West.
You will be a member of CIPS and have a degree or management NVQ level 4 with relevant experience in a multi-site organisation, coupled with excellent interpersonal, IT and problem solving skills.
